Every semi auto pistol owner should have a semi auto .22LR in their inventory. They are fun and good practice for cheap ammo. I have owned a Sig Mosquito for quite some time. But the Buck Mark Camper in SS is even better! In fact in many way WAY BETTER. It fires quite a bit more types of .22 LR ammo and are well made. They are a bit more of a pain to strip and give a deep cleaning, but they are well made and very accurate. One thing you should know about them is: They do NOT require deep cleaning as often as the Mosquito does. You DO NOT need to take the slide off the pistol every time you clean it. If you get a bore snake, you can clean the pistol after every firing with a bore snake and brush. You should however, deep clean the pistol every 600-1700 rounds.
The Buck Mark Camper SS is a beautiful pistol. Well made and feels good in your hands. It shoots accurately and is very reliable. I have nicknamed mine the "crack gun" because its so hard to reisist loading and firing it again and again once you start. But, will its compatability with so many different types of CHEAP .22LR, I don't mind getting my fix!! Compared to the sig mosquito: It does not have the "standard pistol" feel, but it does have an AWESOME FEEL and it a good practice weapon. It can also kill varmits and even people if you had to...but for self defense...its a .22LR not a prime choice.
Good pistol!!
