I did a lot of research online, including many trips to a few local gun shops. I was looking for a solid, well built AR that would last. This thing did not let me down. The lower and upper fit flawless, and it feels like a weapon. Not a toy like some other ARs I've held. I like the idea that STAG makes all their components in-house, as to limit the potential for flawed outside vendor parts. Their investment as certainly paid off, and it shows because these are not easy to come buy! Also, you can't beat STAGs lifetime warranty and great reputation for customer service. They simply want their customers to keep coming back.
This thing looks bada$$ with the diamondhead versa rail. The ONLY complaint I have with this rifle is the slip-on rail. Since it is a slip-on, there is a slight amount of rotational play. This is just the nature of slip-ons as there are all like that. At least the ones I've held. Its not alot of play, but I may try to pick up a free floating quadrail that is solid in the future.
Buds was a great transaction. Excellent customer service, and the gentlemen I spoke to was very knowledgeable. It took a week for the rifle to arrive at my FFL. Not too bad I guess. They should update the photo of the model three, as it does not include the diamondhead versa rail. Check STAGs website for updated pics for this. Bottomline, I would use Buds again!
