Received the revolver super fast from Buds! As usual Bud's service was A+!
Now on to the revolver.
I think Bud's description of the item is spot on, and that when ordering a used 70-80% POLICE issued revolver you should expect some wear and tear. The previous customers leaving 1 star reviews and complaining about the firearm I would pay no attention to, as they set their expectations to high! They probably wouldn't be happy with a new unissued model 10, and are just looking for something to complain about.
My revolver has the wear and tear of a duty gun. The grips are well worn, and the finish on the grips has worn off on most of the grips, this doesn't effect my hold of the weapon or make it feel any different when shooting it. The blue is worn off only around the end of the barrel, probably from holstering the weapon, there are a few spots where the blue is a little faded but nothing remarkable.
The firearm shoots well and is what you would come to expect from S&W, the trigger is tight and has a crisp break in single and double action. Cylinder swings out with no problems and ejects shells with no problems. It has some weight to it, which I happen to like and gives it a good balanced feel in my hand. Being a heavier pistol shooting the .38 Special, there is hardly any felt recoil.
Overall I think this a good buy and I wouldn't hesitate again to pick one up!
