Used S&W Police Model 10 38sp Square Butt [VPD104]

I got this at my FFL and the first thing I saw was rust on the gun body and trigger area. That's expected and easily remedied with 0000 steel wool. My FFL is also a gun range. So after my background check I took it shooting. This gun can shoot. You can never go wrong with a Smith & Wesson. Accuracy was good and I'm a novice. I took it home after shooting and removed the rust, cleaned, and oiled it. It's like a brand new gun but with a little wear. Other than holster wear, this gun is a broken in wonder. It's now my beside home defender along with my speed strips. This is a K frame gun but it fits nicely in my hand and feels like a J frame compared to my 617. I would recommend this little piece of history to anyone. Nice gun for beginner and collectors.
