Used S&W Police Model 10 38sp Square Butt [VPD104]

Got the phone call from my FFL whilst at work and arranged to fill out the paper work and get the ball rolling on it so I could have it by the weekend (illinois resident, 3 day cooling off period). I was a bit nervous that with my luck I would end up with a lemon despite the overwhelming number of good reviews. My concern unfortunately wound up being justified.
The firearm I received is in my opinion more in the ball park of 50%, if that. A majority of the bluing on the gun is gone and worn down to bare metal (including the bottom of the trigger guard and what not). There was pitting on a fair amount of the firearm . The grips were not original, and furthermore were worn as heck and sported nicks all over the place. Upon inspecting the rifling with my dealers bore light we noticed what looked to be a few specs of rust as well what is possibly a big spot of rust or maybe damage to the rifling.
