Used S&W Police Model 10 38sp Square Butt [VPD104]
by William T
Date Added: Thursday 12 July, 2012
RESPONSE BY BUDS: PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT THE TRANSFER OF ANY NEW OR USED FIREARM YOU ARE NOT 100% SATISFIED WITH AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN OUR POLICY TO PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS CHOICE OF A FULL REFUND OR REPLACEMENT FIREARM.
Received the S&W Model 10-8 today and was torn between whether to accept it or not. The condition of the pistol was closer to 60% than the 70-80% given in the product description. The example picture shown on the product page was not an accurate depiction of the gun I was shipped. Virtually all the bluing was missing from the sides of the barrel. I finally decided to accept the gun based on the good condition of the bore and the smoothness of the trigger mechanism. The functioning of the gun is the most important thing to me so I'll overlook the outward appearance. I'm less inclined to purchase a used gun over the internet after this experience. I think it is probably best to purchase used guns at a local gunshop where you can carefully inspect it before the purchase. In summary, I am less than thrilled, but not completely unhappy either.
