Disappointed with the Desert Eagle. Took it out the first time with the 50 A/E barrel and although it would fire, it would not chamber a new round ( would fire, eject casing, but not pick up a new round ). Tried a dozen times or so and no luck. So my thought was perhaps a bad magazine. So I ordered a new oem magazine, and back to the range with the new mag and different ammo ( used magnum research ammo first time, and hornady this time ). Same problem, fires round, ejects casing, won't pick up new round. So, only thoughts at this point is the gas system ? When a gun is this expensive you would think quality control would be there and the gun wouldn't have issues right out of the box. Now time to figure out where to send it and hope for the best :(

As always Buds Gun Shop was easy to work with. The gun is exactly as advertised and came with the 44 Mag and 50 AE hardware. I have not had the time to go to the range yet, but I'm looking forward to putting some 50 cal rounds down range.

Classic big bore,semi-auto hand cannon, that is remarkably easy to shoot, and extremely accurate. The versatility of changing from 44mag. to 50AE and vise versa in 15 sec. out in the field is a definite plus as well. Magnum Research has done it again with an outstanding package deal, priced at a STEAL!!! Thank you Buds!!!

As far as shooting goes, this pistol is smooth and is comfortable. It does have feeding issues though. I have been shooting the recommended ammunition for this product. It is as accurate as the shooter at 20 yards. I do like this pistol but the feeding issue is a problem.

I received the Desert Eagle within a week or so of ordering, not only did I get the 44 Magnum but I also got the 50AE barrel and magazines for both. Everything was in perfect condition, no blems or marks. I was able to reload some rounds with Lil Gun 26.5, 27 and 27.5 gr with 335 gr Rainer FP bullets, OAL of 1.59 and Large Magnum Pistol primers. The gun functioned perfectly with all three loads. Recoil feels about the same as my Hi-Point 45 ACP, holes it makes in paper, a little bigger. At 10 yards, 3 rounds all in the 1" bullseye!
