M10-762 Semi-Auto AK Style Rifle 7.62x39
[M10-762]
$799.00
by David E Date Added: Tuesday 12 June, 2012
I wish I bought one when it was cheaper. The rifle came with a crappy PRO MAG magazine and I don't use it because I know better. This AK has matching numbers, it does have internal rails instead of mag dimples, the furniture is nice for what it is. I used a drill press mounted laser on the rifle and the front sight did not appear to be canted so that was good. I use factory steel or TAPCO mags and there is a little play with steel mags but not a big deal because my DRACO AK has mag dimples and it has play also. The TAPCO mags fit nice and tight however.... pretty much zero wobble. The muzzle break is nice but it catches on a lot of stuff so I changed it out with a bird cage and it kinda looks Galilish with a bird cage muzzle break. The quality and machining is pretty damn good. There is no cleaning rod, the TAPCO stock does not have the hole in the back for a cleaning kit to fit into it. The RPK style rear sight is different and kinda nice. I ended up putting a Romanian wire folding stock and it looks and feels good.
Like I said, if I had bought this rifle for $499, it would have been great but for the $599 that I paid.... it was still worth it because I was finding POS CAI builds locally that were $700. This rifle is chrome lined, matching numbers, good aftermarket parts on it (to make it 922R compliant) and the machining and quality is nice...... so what more do you want? get one while you can. I almost bought a M70 the T serious for $550 but I think this M10 is a better AKM for sure. I dig the no dimple receiver because it looks different and just as good if not better than the dimpled ones.
