M10-762 Semi-Auto AK Style Rifle 7.62x39 [M10-762]

I'm amazed that anyone here would rate this "rifle" 5 stars. What a complete pile of crap. This definitely looks like something that came out of post cold war Russia.
So, when I received it, step 1 was was to clean all the cosmoline off. So I broke the gun down to clean and oil the internals. The absolute poor quality of the machining was immediately evident. The firing pin and bolt both still have lathe marks on them. The receiver cover is made out of thin sheet metal...I have roasted turkeys in thicker tin pans. The pins holding the trigger in place are poorly machined and easily fall out when the rifle is apart. The blueing on the steel is low quality and flakes off with little effort. As far as operation of the rifle, when I attempted to chamber a round for the first time, a tiny metal shim inside the receiver had come loose, causing the bolt to stick open. I broke the rifle down again and fixed the part, but in the course of doing so the trigger pin came dislodged and the mechanism fell out.
This is, bar none, the lowest quality rifle I've ever owned. Maybe it's designed as a "throw away" gun, and maybe it shoots great, but I haven't gotten past breaking down and cleaning this pile of crap yet. I own mass produced Arisakas and Mosin-Nagants that are of a higher production quality than this tin can.
Buyer beware. You get far less than you pay for. This might be a decent deal at $299, but at $599, it's a complete ripoff.
