I have bought so many Mosin-Nagant rifles over the years (including the carbine M44), and love them all. Asthetically beautiful, solid, accurate, powerful---and with a romantic history behind them (used from the time of the Tsar, through WWI, and through WWII)....you really can't go wrong with one of these. They look gorgeous mounted on the wall, with the bayonet showing. People always remark on how cool they are. Better have a good backstop when you shoot, because they are POWERFUL (my brother-in-law shot a FMJ through a wood pile, and the bullet emerged out the back, in nearly pristine condition!).

I called to make sure this was indeed the HEX. I had been on a waiting list with another site. This came complete in three days. It is clean with just a dash of cosmoline on the oil can and it came off in the dishwasher. This is a great buy if you can catch them in stock. I may buy a round upper just to shoot.

This is my second Mosin-Nagant that I have purchased. The rifle is in great shape considering that this one was made in 1935. The bore is clean and the wood has very little signs of use. No rust or pitting on any metal surface. All the numbers match on the gun and are clearly visable. can`t wait to get all the grease off of her and take to the range. Very fun gun to shoot.

This is a beautiful rifle. Picked up today, received in timely order from Buds. The stock is dark and without any nicks or scratches. The bolt looks great, the weapon appears to have been fired very little or not at all. This is my second Mosin Nagant, the first was in great shape as well. This one like the first came covering in cosmoline but it comes off rather easily. All of the extras were there and the box it came in was undamaged. Great buy.

When I saw the price on these I knew I had to have one. Reminded me of the movie "enemy at the gates", a real piece of history. After a little online research I decided to opt for the Hex receiver. I was not dissapointed got a 1929 izzy. Love it to death. shoots amazing and can get surplus ammo firt cheap if you can get the can open. Great gun, good service!

This is the real deal! WOW! I love this rifle.. Dead on target right out of the box. Did some cleaning and she was range ready. Definitely worth the price and then some!

The weapon came with everything as advertised. It took a little time to get the gun cleaned up. There was no rust and the bore was in great shape. The accessories were in excellent condition and the bayonet fit the weapon with no problems. In addition the serial numbers on the barrel, bolt, magazine and butt plate all matched. The stock required some work but cleaned up great after removing and masking all metal parts and spraying it down with some Easy-Off oven cleaner to strip it down. A good washing and drying then a coat of walnut stain and some boiled linseed oil and it looks great. My son and I took it to the range over the holidays and put almost 350 rounds through it with no problems. Had to do a few minor front sight adjustments and we were shooting 6-8 inch groups at 100 yards just using the sling for support. The ammo is widely available at around $67-$75 per 440 round spam can which is around $0.15-$0.17 cents per shot. It is a very affordable weapon to shoot. It lets you concentrate on having fun rather than going broke. Note: It does have a good kick and i will add a recoil pad soon. The purchasing process with Bud's Gun Shop was smooth and problem free. They delivered what I bought in a timely manner and met and/or exceeded all of my expectations. A great experience.

My hex mosin nagant is no where near in very good condition... I would barely rate it in good condition.... I checked it out a the FFL dealer (california) but obviously could not do a real though check.... when I got it home the bore is in terrible conditon, pitted and all.. the stock is in lousy condition also.. I'm thankful that Buds only cost $119.

Smooth easy deal as always! The rifle is in great shape and not nearly as much cosmolene on it as I though would be. I have cleaned it enough to check the bolt action and it is flawless. The barrel looks like not much if anything has been fired through it. I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait to fire the rifle. Thanks Buds!

At first I was very worried about ordering a old gun like this from buds and having it shipped since I did not know what to expect. The gun took 2 days to arrive in Minnesota and I was shocked. I went to pick it up and I was amazed how it was in great condition. Mine ended up being a 1934 and it has never been shot before. After cleaning it up it looked beautiful. I am excited to bring it to the range this weekend and try the baby out. Thank you buds for the fantastic gun, and quick shipping, I will no doubt order from buds again.

Buds had rifle to me in three days! Some spots on barrel but otherwise in great shape. After cleaning up took to range. Guessed/bore-sighted at 2 setting on rear sight at fifty yards. Four hits couple inches high. Nice group. Moved sight to 3 and put 'em in the black. Also ordered ATI stock. Rifle really looks good. Using for deer hunting now. Very satisfied, planning to purchase another.

Advertised as very good condition, but I would say the rifle is in excellent condition for Izhevsk 1932 M91/30. Clean up was not bad. Can't wait to take it to the range. Bud's done good by me.

I'm a little disappointed with the rifle. It is OK and as advertised but does not sound like the same product that I read about in the reviews. This one has bad pitting on the bottom of the bolt at the bolt face and is in mediocre condition for a re arsenal-ed rifle. The bore is alright and it has the original muzzle crown (not counterbored) but just doesn't seem to be the "premium" rifle that all the reviews talk about. Not much better than the $99 1943 round receiver jobs.I would not have picked this one off the rack if others were available. Buds was great to work with and my FFL is happy to do transfers from them. In fact, I am sure that Buds probably never actually touched the rifle and that it was dropped shipped from Century International Arms. I don't think Buds would have charged a premium price for this one. That said, I would happily do business with Buds again because I feel like they held up their end of the deal. PS, fast shipping!

A loyal customer of Bud's. The rifle arrived well packaged and as advertised. Not a speck of rust and only a few light wear spots on an otherwise beautiful stock. Took about 2 hours to clean the cosmoline from the rifle. It was in beautiful condition. If the rifle has been fired, it was only fired a few times. Bore and action smooth and clean. Came with more extras than advertised. Great buy!!!!!

This was my second purchase from Buds. My first transaction was so easy that I came back for another one. That being said, I will be making a third purchase from Buds very soon. Now about the Mosin. I love this rifle. It was received only a few days after payment and it looks great! The stock has only minor wear, the bore is clean and the bluing is still fantastic. It was my first time with cosmoline cleanup and it really did not take a lot of time. I can't wait to fire this rifle. Thank you Buds.

Received my Mosin in very good shape. Had some cosmoline on it but not as bad as I had aniticipated based on other reviews. Cleaned up fairly quickly with some Gun Scrub and then oiled it down with REM oil. Looks and performs great for a 1933 rifle. Purchased a rubber butt plate as the metal plate was a bit harsh on the shoulder when target shooting. There are quite a few accessories available online for these guns. I have been wanting a high powered rifle but did not want to fork out the money for one nor the money for the ammo. This is perfect, gun is inexpensive and ammo is too. My FFL said he sees quite a few of these as they make great dear hunting guns. Anyway, very pleased and may buy another one at this price.

When I picked up my Mosin at the dealer, I neglected to do a thorough inspection because it was so tightly packed in with a bundle of accessories. The rifle is in decent shape, but there is some splintering. Also, didn't notice til I got home that the rifle I received is not hex (My fault for not really inspecting it at the dealer. Will not make that mistake again.). Standard round receiver. I got double the accessories, though, so I guess that balances out the price difference in its own way. Should've just gone for the standard Mosin and saved $30.

my first rifle. i love this gun. very powerful and extremely accurate. iron sights are right on. the initial cleaning wasnt that big a deal. my girlfriend might disagree with me though. apparently she hates the smell of cosmoline. didnt bother me much i mean who doesnt love the smell of gasoline? women are strange. love the gun thanks buds.

This was my first, but not my last, purchase from Bud's. I placed my order on a Saturday and it was at my local FFL on Tuesday for pickup! The gun itself is in good shape, especially considering that it is more than 80 years old. The cosmoline removal took some time, but it's not too bad if you have the right information. I was able to find several good cosmoline removal and mosin nagant disassembly videos on Youtube. Surplus ammo is easy to find on the Internet and it's fairly cheap. This would be a cool gun to display in your man cave, especially with the bayonet attached. A very cool piece of history to own.

Great gun at a great price. I ordered it on Friday and it arrived at my FFL on Wednesday. Mine was a 1931 Tula with all matching numbers except for the bayonet. Stock looked great. Spending the extra thirty bucks to get the hex receiver is a no-brainer in my opinion.

When my FFL dealer called and said my rifle was in, he commented on how nice it looked. This one was made in 1934 and believe me it is nice. The stock has smooth shiney finish, the steel on the gun had minimum small rust spots. Nothing to be bothered with. Everything seems to be in good working order. Go to the forum to learn more from my experence with Bud's and the FFL dealer.

Received the Hex, to my dismay the gun was a mess, the stock was splintered the receiver had deep rust, and it was missing the tool kit. I purchased the the Mo sin also the one for $109 and that one was in excellent shape. So Now I am missing the tool kit and have splinters for a stock, along with the rust. The mosin is not in very good condition it is in fair condition at best.
