I bought the Spartan III after allot of research, i believe this is the best officers 1911 for the money available..i did have to wait about 30 days to receive it..i put some rounds through it and i am extremely pleased. i had absolutely no problems with any ammo i tried including 200 and 230 grain +p hollow points.. this is a solid solid gun..
a few negatives i noticed that are worth mentioning
the main spring housing and the trigger are plastic! easily changed but not really okay IMO for a 1911..
There are some sharp edges mainly on the hammer, and the frame under the end of the barrel is tearing up my leather holster fast, the grips are a strange cut that is a little uncomfortable as well..
this thing is not very easy to break down and reassemble, not impossible but far harder than a full size 1911..i did get a bit cut up by it while figuring it out..
the six round mag it comes with works fine
the kick is not that hard to control
my wife shot it and liked it :)
the price is right and this handgun delivers serious semi custom performance.
