One word for this pistol: WOW! I have shot many hand guns in my life, all different sizes and shapes and calibers, from all steel to polymer. I have to say this is one of THE nicest pistols I have ever shot.
My friend got one of these (paid about 370 at a gun shop in town) and I liked his. I had been planning to get one for a while, and once I saw that buds had them for under 300 shipped I couldn't wait any longer.
My friend has a Springfield XDM full size, he paid 635 bucks for this gun, and the EAA witness will hang with it all day long. So, for under 300 bucks you are getting a gun that looks and performs as well as a gun that is over twice the price.
I bought an extra mag with this pistol from buds, and I kept both mags fully loaded for 3 or 4 days before I shot the pistol. I heard of some people having issues with their magazines, so I thought this would help.
Today I put about 100 rounds through the gun without a single malfunction. I was able to load the mags to full capacity without any issues. I think the mags are very easy to load compared to some of the other pistols I own. (much easier to load than a CZ82 mag for example)
This pistol is accurate, it feels great in the hand, it looks awesome. Fit and finish were very good. The gun shoots like a dream, the way the slide is so low profile it keeps the barrel down closer to your hand so the recoil is very soft, and quick follow up shots are easy.
The double action trigger pull is nothing to brag about, but it serves it's purpose: it's heavy enough to leave a round in the chamber and not have to use the safety without worrying that you might accidentally fire the gun. The single action trigger is very nice, short, no creep, crisp let off.
I can't say enough good things about this gun. It is every bit as good as guns twice the price. You can also get conversion kits in .45ACP, .38 super, .22LR, and 10mm for around 200 bucks online.
The sights are very nice, easy to acquire, and stand out with the white dots. You can also order a fully adjustable windage/elevation rear sight from EAA.
Buds service was great as always, pistol came very quick.
If you want a nice high capacity polymer pistol but can't afford a 500+ dollar Glock or Springfield XDM, etc. then look no further.
