Bought this on a whim, as did not really want a 45 acp. Decent price and a surprisingly great shooter. I have traded it to a fellow shooter who enjoyed it as much as I. It was very accurate at my range (25-30 ft.) and aside from a little heavy trigger, which lessened with use, was a very nice handgun. Kinda wish I had kept it.

Bus got it to me in 1week. However the Ruger New Vaquero .45 ACP a great idea you can buy .45 ACP most anywhere. I have a Ruger Redhawk and a Blackhawk both great pistols and never a problem, in like 40 years. That being said, back to the NEW VAQUERO had it one day and fired 87 rounds of 230 FMJ , well that was it. I could not pull the hammer back to firer and the cylinder would spin both counter clockwise and clockwise freely. Also the front sight blade, the bluing around it was a liter color did not match. So it went back to Ruger, they say 2-3 weeks for repair. Sort makes think why did I buy this in first place.ill give two stars for Buds and zero for the Ruger !

Purchased and shot 100 rounds through my Ruger Vaquero 45 ACP. The quality and fitness of the gun is excellent. The rounds were hitting on target, the trigger is very smooth and has little take up. Glad i purchased it. It took about two weeks to get the gun sent to my FFL. All transactions went without any issues.

Buds did their job as usual. Gun arrived and had a malfunction in the action that i did not notice until i got home. Also had a few blemishes in the blueing that i wasnt happy with. Called Ruger, they immediatly took it in for repair. When i got it back the gun was amazing. Extreamly accurate. Finish was perfect and the action was perfect as well. Ruger has the best customer service ever. Was a little bit of a pain in the butt to have to send back but gun arrived from ruger perfect and i could not be any more happy. Buy this gun!!!!
