HP22 .22LR NICKEL BLACK GRIP
[HP22ANB]
$135.00
by Micah R Date Added: Friday 19 October, 2012
I give this gun 3.5 stars. Sorry but a $135 gun doesn't deserve 5 stars I don't know what everybody on here is thinking. You get what you pay for. The gun looks pretty nice but there are a few things you should know before buying. I'm basing my review mostly on research that I've done on the gun as I haven't put many rounds through it yet.

Pros: Lifetime Warranty- what I hear is a max of 2 replacements
Looks nice, shoots good, has adjustable rear sight- side to side only
Parts are cheap for it. $11 magazines, $45 will buy you a mag and a 5" barrel conversion.
Pretty decent gun for the price, but still not a 5 star gun (my M&P45 is a 5 star gun)

Cons: 1st thing I noticed is the hammer is made out of a soft metal and indents easily on the firing pin
Frame is made out of a cheap zinc alloy( not sure how common this is but some people were cracking the frame by the mag release button)
Lots of safeties, this gun is definately not one you want to carry for self-protection. I bought it for messing around with and thats all it should ever be.
Expect to get 3500-4500 rounds through the gun before it starts getting heavy wear. .22 ammo is $20 for 525 rounds so if you shoot a lot it can wear out pretty quick.
It is designed for shooting standard velocity .22 ammo. So only buy the "target" ammo. I think some of the people that were cracking the frame of the gun were saying that it might of been because they were using the high velocity 22 ammo.

Hope this is helpful...
