HP22 .22LR NICKEL BLACK GRIP
[HP22ANB]
$135.00
by Mary R Date Added: Sunday 06 October, 2013
I bought this gun off of a friend's recommendation and the price. It's a fun little pea shooter and I love the size, but the first time at the range it wouldn't fire. I switched ammo to Remington 22 Golden Bullet HP and went through 50 rounds with no problem. I started on the second box of Remingtons and the gun would not fire. The slide kept getting stuck halfway back. I took it home, took it apart, and cleaned it. The slide moved back with no problem and I didn't see any mechanical issues with the gun. It seems to be very picky with ammunition. I guess that's what you get for $135.

There are 3 safeties on this gun since it's manufactured in California. You can't eject the magazine without engaging one of the safeties. You can disable 2 of the safeties if you want w/o voiding the warranty, just look it up on youtube. I also tried some wooden grips on the gun, but it won't fire with the alternate grips on.

Overall, it's a fun, nice looking gun, and it's cheap enough to do some minor gunsmithing to without ruining an expensive gun. I don't feel that it's very reliable though and I'd never use it as my personal carry weapon.
