This is one exceptionally beautiful weapon. The fit and feel are great. The pistol is extremely TIGHT. If that is any indication of the accuracy, then it should shoot 1" groups with no problem. I am a big Colt fan and its difficult to justify this kind of money for one pistol when you could have two Colts for roughly the same amount but I am in no way dissappointed with my purchase. I have not fired this weapon and may never fire it (they are only new once) but according to the paper work it was fired at least 12 times in testing, so it ain't new. It does have the perma kote finish and that is probably the thing I dislike the most since Wilson clearly states stainless is better and this finish will detrioriate over time and the more its carried the faster it will go. It is a beautiful weapon but I am almost tempted to sell it now and purchase two Colts, if I can find them, and add them to my collection of 1911's. The other thing I would mention is the ammunition. Wilson has a list of Ammo that will work and many that is not reccomended. Needless to say I have close to 600 rounds of the not reccomended and none of the other. However since I do not plan to shoot the pistol, this is not an issue but something you might want to check if you plan to spend $2600(+). I have a plain ole Colt, (5" 1911) the eats the Not Reccomended without a hitch and its great to practice coming off the "X". Finally, Wilson does provide a complete manual on cleaning, field stripping and the COMPLETE takedown of the weapon. If you read it and practice, in time you will become quite proficient on the 1911. Before I forget, Buds did a great job as usual ordering and shipping.
