The worst gun I have ever bought and probably unsafest.

So, if I'm being honest, I got this gun out of curiosity when it had dipped to $100. I wasn't expecting much, so I was actually pleasantly surprised at first. It worked, and despite its awful unmarked sights, was fairly accurate out to about 10m for me. I didn't even try testing any further out, but I think I got lucky on sight alignment. Interestingly, this is the only gun I can think of that is both SAO and striker fired. The trigger wasn't bad (for $100) and I do prefer SAO or DA/SA triggers over DAO. Now for the bad news: my gun completely came apart a little over 150 rounds. The small piece which houses the firing pin spring, and which holds the slide onto the frame itself, broke while shooting. The piece in question also seems to absorb quite a bit of the straight blowback action's recoil. A new piece was only a few bucks and fixed the issue. It isn't fun to shoot and the ergonomics are not great. The extractor is also positioned completely vertically, meaning casings WILL fly straight back at your head while aiming down the sights. Overall, the gun shoots and I only experienced a couple failure to ejects, which is more than I was expecting from such a cheap gun. I believe, if you were really desperate for a handgun and only had about $100 to spend, this would work at least the one time you may need to use it defensively. I wouldn't recommend this gun in any other circumstance. It shouldn't be something you regularly shoot outside of the first time you're testing out ammo. Overall, 3 stars as it performed about as well as one would expect for the price.

Well here it is. I wanted the Cobra CA 380 mostly for the bling. Now to get down to the function of the gun. I fired 50 rounds thru it and had 4 failure to eject. Ok so I take the gun home ,I put some lube on the feed ramp and other vital areas and I contacted Cobra Fire arms to ask them what type rounds should I use for this firearm (Federal FMJ) is what I was told. I go back to the range about a week later w/another 50 Federal rounds. Well i had only 1 failure 2 eject. I have to remind myself that I only paid about 120$ for this handgun. In saying that, you get 120$ worth in return. Its not a bad gun at all once you kinda break it in. But as far as a primary carry gun or home protection gun, I will use it as a backup. So if you are looking to purchase this firearm remember to use Federal Ballround FMJ. And Buds I cant leave you out. This is my 7th firearm that I have purchased from you guys, and once again 2 thumbs up. Fast service and good reasonable prices.

Bought 2 of these, one worked fine the other factory defective. Tried calling gun manufacturer with no luck, got no answer of the listed numbers. I tried emails and same result, no answer. Returned gun with tracking to manufacture. It was delivered to them. Going into week 3 and still no answer. Do not buy this gun, not because of quality but because of the poor customer service from the gun manufacturer.

This little weapon was purchased for just over 100.00. I plan to take the weapon apart, clean all the manufacturing fillings, and then polish various sliding part. I want to see if a dependable fire arm can be made out of this little gun. This weapon is not going to used for any self defense or any heavy use. I just want to see if the gun can be made to be a decent, dependable weapon.

Order this gun came in on time, actually quicker to be honest. Everything came as said everything working great..the only problem I had it this gun was a couple of jams and yea I bullet in the chamber. Like they say you do get what you pay for but in my opinion..I'm keeping it..just got to be broken in that's it.

Fantastic gun for the money. Did jam a few times on the first 2 rounds. Shot another 10 plus rounds of both hollow point and target shot with no problems. After a good cleaning, and some setup, will be a great gun for the wifey to carry in her purse or conceal carry. It's a little heavier than I expected, which I'm fine with. Let's me know I'm not carrying a toy. Very little recoil. Did scuff up my thumb a bit, so will have to get use to holding it further down the grips. I would definitely recommend it for the money.

The Cobra Freedom 380 is alrght for the price as a plinking pistol. I wouldnt count on it as a self defense firearm.

First shooting session the extractor retaining pin wiggled loose and the extractor flew off somewhere. I got a new extractor and extractor pin from Cobra Arms, free of charge! I sat the pin and then deformed the metal around the pin holes with a blunt nail and hammer. This made the extractor pin's holes no longer cylindrical, no more run-a-way extractor! I then polished the feed ramp, the slide's retainer groove, and slide retainer's server. After a few hundred rounds to break it in...this gun will eat anything now. It keyholes...but for what it's worth I'll take it! ************************************************************-
****************************** These are great products but bare in mind that they come unpolished and straight from the assembly line. SOME FINE TUNING IS REQUIRED

BARREL WAS DIRTY WHEN I RECIEVED IT. IM NOT SURE WHEN IT GOT DIRTY. IT DIDNT REALLY APPEAR TO BE USED SO I WILL ASSUME THAT THE MANUFACTUER DID THE TEST FIRING AND DID NOT CLEAN THE BARREL. THE MAGAZINE WELL WAS ALSO FILTHY. OVER ALL THE OUTSIDE OF THE GUN HAS A NICE CHROME FINISH. I CLEANED AND OILED IT BEFORE TAKING IT TO THE RANGE. I SHOT A BOX OF 50. THE FIRST 20-25 ROUNDS I HAD SEVERAL FAILURE TO EJECTS AND 2 MISFIRES. AFTER ABOUT 30 ROUNDS THINGS STARTED TO SMOOTH OUT AND THE LAST 3 MAGAZINES WENT THROUGH FLAWLESSLY. I WILL CONTINUE TO SHOOT IT TO BREAK IT IN, IT MAY BE A DECENT PISTOL. IT IS WORTH THE PRICE, BUT DONT EXPECT HIGH QUALITY FOR A LOW PRICE. (Many new firearms are test fired at the factory. You may notice residual powder, rotation marks on revolver cylinders, residual cosmoline which sometimes appears to look like rust, etc. For additional information please watch our video linked in our FAQ #17 - Buds Staff)

I like this one better then the FS380. I had one stove pipe out of 9 rounds but from package to range not oiled or anything. Gave it a 4 because it jammed twice (failure to feed). Simple fix sand down feed ramp and shine. 125.00 gun not bad.

For the money.... This is a fabulous gun. Many people believe that in order to defend your life, you need to spend better than $400 and tacticool your firearm. This gun will never let you tacticool any thing :D A couple of issues that need to be stated first: Bud's service - Without a doubt, the best place on the web to purchase a firearm. I have made many purchases with all sorts, and I love these guys the most. So thank you for that. Second, I could not find a better shipped product. Perhaps that is because Murphy's law states when you put shipping insurance on your product, 9/10 it will come in fantastic condition. This handgun was no exception. Onto my review. I hate chrome, I hate it. Personal preference of mine, but the finish was mirror polished chrome. Not a scratch, flaw, or issue with it. I will solve that at a later time. #2 If you know anything about these guns, the rumors of metal dust on the feedramp where they pressed on the barrel was true in my account. A good cleaning remedied this. #3, the "loaded chamber" indicator on the back of the gun needs to come off. It's been reported that this has been causing FTF's and because it's not a full length guide-rod diameter, it has a tendency to hang in the firing pin spring. Easy fix, grind/polish. #4 The feed ramp needs a good polish. I used a dremel with a polishing tip and jewelers rouge. Mirror finish results. My only additional change I will make is to custom fit a kydex beaver tail type of grip safety to eliminate ANY slide bite. A Hogue jr. grip will secure all of that and make for a nice pocket carry .380. Sure, I can afford to spend $400 and get all the fancy crap on it I want, but I chose this for the price, and simpleness of a LIFETIME WARRANTY no questions asked. If you are capable to putting forth the effort, understanding, and patience, you can turn this baby into something you can trust your life with. It goes bang, cycles, feeds, every time you pull the trigger now, no issues.

I rate this gun a 2. I did not take this gun to the range because when I cycled the ammo it would not eject correctly and the bullet would get stuck in the barrel. I had to use a screw driver to pry out the bullets each time. The trigger had quite a bit of side to side wobble and the magazine was thin and poorly made. I simply did not trust this weapon's ability to perform so I traded it the next day. It's finish was perfect, however it is definitely a "Cheap" gun. You get what you pay for with Cobra.

really nice gun n really comfortable in the hand it fits in my pockets n has a little weight to it but not heavy at all, i shot 100 rounds of Remington hollow point n had no jams or miss feds nor failure to eject cartridge shot really great its loud and has a little kick to it but if my wife can handle shooting it well it can make a really great self defense gun for females .......the chrome can be used as a mirror or well if you empty your clip out you might be able to blind the person if you use the reflection of the sun correctly..lol and well the only thing bad about it is that it only holds 5 rounds it would be great if there was a clip with more capacity for it........and its a well made gun all around im really satisfied with my purchase and the quality of the gun..
