I bought one and really liked how even though it was stamped 1939, it appeared to be brand new. I then ordered another and it was stamped 1936 and the receiver on this one also appeared to be brand new. The finish had some scratches but I took them to the range and the sights were dead on. I ordered 2 spam cans and guys if you have trouble using the opener that is provided you were never in the service. We had what I think was called a P38 opener that we wore on our dog card chains. I showed my rifles to two people and they are now ordering theirs. Yes...I might get another one. So far I have a 'blond' and a "reddish' color for the stocks. Oh yeah..it took me about 20minutes to clean them up. Order one if you like a rifle that is beautiful and has an amazing history.
