Picked up my Mosin Nagant yesterday from the FFL. The rifle was covered head to toe with cosmoline grease as expected, which it was hard to tell the condition on the rifle opening the box. When I got home I used my methods of removing the grease and the rifle is 110% as stated "excellent condition". The wood was in great shape with only a few nicks and scratches. No surface rust or pitting on the metal surfaces including the barrel. The inside of the bore was excellent with visible rifling after cleaning. Everything was all matching parts except for the bayonet, which was no big deal, all you have to do is open the diameter with a tapered rod and hammer it in there.
