The finish is excellent, the grips are really nice but I ordered Pearce grips because I like the black on black look. I haven't shot it yet, definitely will re-post when I do because I feel no review is complete until you shoot the gun. The slide is very smooth and easy to cock unlike my Sig which I feel is much to hard to charge. The magazine it comes with is a Mec-Gar, which is superb, however it only comes with one so I ordered 5 more. Loaded the mag with Federal Jacketed Hollowpoints and charged the slide until every round ejected out and to my amazement not a single one got jammed up on the way into the barrel... Usually cheaper 1911's don't like hollowpoints, but this baby was smooth as butter. The only thing I am a little concerned about (and it probably is nothing) but when you pull the hammer back and pull the trigger with your thumb on the hammer to let it back down slowly, the hammer will stop halfway and the trigger will remain in the firing position... if you pull the trigger again it will reset, but I have own several 1911's and none of them did this. Anyways, all and all very impressed with gun, it is absolutely beautiful... wish Girsan hadn't written SARAC in big letters down the left side of the slide because it would have been so much prettier plain, but hey... as long as it goes bang every time I pull the trigger, I am happy.
