I've owned 2 1911's in the past. Both were Springfield Armory 1911's, a 2-tone loaded combat and a G.I. As you know, they're quality guns ranging from $600-900 out the door. Well, simply put, this Girsan is right up there quality wise, dare I say better than the G.I and just as good as the Loaded Combat. The fit and finish is excellent, everything is tight and the slides rides on the frame like butter. The polished barrel is absolutely beautiful and the slide that's clear of all large hideous markings is also a big plus. I am in love with this pistol and tomorrow I should have the new grips, VZ turbo grip screws, Wilson Combat magwell, and an unnecessary yet beautiful touch- the punisher style compensator. Oh, and two stainless checkmate mags as the gun only comes with one, I guess that would be my only complaint. Buds was great as usual, I bought it in the morning and got it two days later. Excellent service, excellent price, excellent quality. Couldn't be happier.
