Bought this 2 weeks ago and have had it out 3X's already. The only modification iI did was a GI guide rod and recoil plug.The first time out I tryed 3 different types of ammo at 14yds 8" target w/1/2" bullseye, all ammo 230gr ball.
-1st Tula steel case, 1st & 2nd shot bullseye next three within 3/4 of an inch high and right. -2nd ammo fiocchi 3rd shot bullseye other 4 shots within 1" group.
-3rd ammo 70's surplus grouped 1" low and slight right about1-1/2" group with 2 shots through the same whole.
Next trip I compared it to my other 2 1911's shot just as good as my Kimber, but my custom SA still shoots and feels better. I was able to get my Kimber magazine to feed rounds to the Girsan but the 7rd SA mags didn't work. I would highly recommend this 1911 to anybody looking. I would have to give Buds a 12/10 for customer service and Girsan a 15/10 on this pistol based on price-point and accuracy. This is not a full GI A1 model but alot of parts can be replaced by GI and Kimber parts.
