I have a couple of CZ-75 clone products and I really love the platform. This is a good example of how well an inexpensive gun can be put together. Shoots very well, consistently with different types of ammo including flat nosed (Guard Dog), hollow points, and traditional round nose FMJ. Sights were good, easy to see, and easy to put on target. Feel is like all CZ-75 type guns. Great in the hand, very natural to the grip. Fit was good, and while I have seen and shot better there are no complaints, and lacking a custom fit is pretty typical for this level of production firearm. Grips were fine, but the standard plastic grip feels just like you would expect. I went ahead and got some Aluminium grips for the CZ-75 from Hogue to dress it up a bit, and they fit without modifications (others have claimed they needed to do some small fit on the wood grips). Came with two mags, both worked fine with full and partial loadings. I have some old CZ mags from an 1980's era clone that functioned fine, but the base pad is larger.
Other factors include the weight. The S-120 is all steel and it is pretty heavy. I love shooting steel guns and am glad to have another. A steel CZ style is all about recoil control. Shots are easy to control, and the force pushes back into the hand with much less muzzle flip. This is great for getting back on target. The only other consideration is the trigger. The DA trigger is HEAVY. Not atypical of this type of gun, but if you haven't shot one, it may come as a surprise. The SA is fairly clean, and while I wouldn't say it was as crisp as breaking glass, mine is not mushy at all. It is consistent, with a decent reset. Not a 1911 reset, but good and easy to find with my trigger finger.
Buds was great as usual. shipped the same day as I bought it, and it arrived mid-day to the FFL 2 business days later. Quentin Defense was my local FFL and I can never say enough good about how you get treated there. Gun was probably clean enough to shoot out of the box, but I took it home, Frog Lubed it and it shot great. There are some replacement springs available for the Canik that should lighten the DA pull that I might try after I have had it for a while.
