You've all heard of "they are so ugly they've been beat with an ugly stick. Well I now own the ugly stick. They are not kidding when they say these rifles are beat up. It has dents and dings, scratches and gouges, no cleaning rod or sling, but, I had done my research ahead of time, read the reviews and had a good idea of what I would be getting. If you want a pristine looking Mosin out of the box, stay away. If you don't mind getting a rifle with a lot character, go for it. The bore looked good and I will be taking it shooting this weekend after I clean the cosmoline off and get it oiled up.
I bought it figuring it would be a project rifle that I could restore and that's what it is. Hopefully I will be able to get the stock looking decent, if not, I have a monte carlo stock that should fit.
Btw, I ordered last Friday, Buds had it to my FFl by Tuesday. Way to go Buds.
