Aesthetically pleasing $400 GI Style 1911. More of a "Blued" finish than "Parkerized", which i like. Limited shooting time yet. 35rds of mixed factory 230gr ball. (Yes, I know that's not enough for a great eval) No failures of any kind. Used supplied Mec-Gar mag & 4 Springfield Armory 7rd mags. Nice tight feel, trigger takup a bit long & kinda gritty. Combat accurate with combat sights. You get a good Truck/Working Pistol/"oops, i dropped it"/"u need a pistol whipping!"/"is that a scratch?" Solid 1911. Will change only the grips to some rubber Hogue 1911 ($10/set) for sweaty hands in the SouthEastern US summers. If i need another Gi style 1911, I would get another. It will share my attention with a RIA GI 1911, so neither are jealous. Research shows there are some standard parts that are not "drop-in ready" for this pistol. Buy for what it is, keep it as it left the Factory. A fine standard GI Style M1911, and enjoy it. I know I will be. Bought the $17 Buds additional "Original Owner" Warrenty to cover any shipping , and repair cost associated with problems that I may encounter during it's lifetime.
That's my findings. Please share yours.
