This was my first 1911, as well as my first online order of a gun ever. The purchase process from Bud's was quick and painless, the 1911 arrived in my local FFL in 2 days. First inspection was great, it appeared a nicely built gun. II broke the gun down and cleaned it all up, it has this fine film of some kind of oil on it but it came off easily. Went back together easily, I have reads reviews on these not having a very good recoil spring but it seems just fine for the basic GI model it is, but only time will tell on this. The fit and finish is great. I have no complaints, and it fired just fine and easily.
