Avoid this receiver at all costs!
I had a lonely upper, looking for a mate. I saw this come up on Buds and thought "Little pricey for a name I never heard of, but what the heck." Ordered it, ordered a parts kit, had a tube, buffer, and stock ready and...
First one I got: Examined it and totally missed that the grip hole wasn't tapped. It was there, just not tapped for a screw. Realized it when I put it together. Stripped back down and Buds told me to ship it back to them.
They sent me a replacement through my FFL (another transfer fee - Not Buds fault, but still a pain) and looking at everything, it all APPEARED to be right. Not as such - Grip hole is tapped, but it's off; the grip doesn't fit properly. An extended grip in the back - can't use a an end-plate with sling mounts. And even with a standard, there's about a 1/16 in gap between the grip and receiver, so it looks like hell and the detent spring for the safety doesn't line up properly.
After the first fiasco, I looked up other online reviews and almost everyone has problems with these lowers. Note to self - Do this beforehand next time.
Save your money for a name you can trust!
