the gen 1 has horrible sights,and the trigger is burred so bad i had to push the trigger forward manually .the finish is nice but only the side of the slide is hard chrome,the rest is satin finish with black safety,hammer,mag catch etc.. nice mag so after 15 rounds its off to a gunsmith. the question you have to ask,,do you go affordable(cheap)and pay to make it right ,,or spend some extra on quality the gen2 might have been the better choice with new sights,,,one will never know
