Girsan MC1911SHC-G2 45ACP 5" Sport w/Rail, Chrome [MC1911SHC-G2]

I purchased the gun due to rail and the price. Overall, the gun looks great, but there are few think I don't like: front sight and grip screw being non-standard. I tried changing the grip to VZ grip but it doesn't take the standard screw. So, I purchased the bushing for 1911. I haven't installed yet, but I am wondering if the bushing thread on the frame is standard size. I hate going through the trouble of damaging the bushing and cannot install the new bushing.
There is one more problem. The magazine provided does not drop free, so I tried McCormick 10 round magazine and it got stuck and couldn't pull out. Good thing there was no round in the chamber or the magazine. I was afraid that the gun might go off while struggling to remove if the gun was loaded.
As for the front sight, I like to change but not sure if it will take after market part. It is not bad, I just like to change it to night sight.
In all, it is a very good looking gun and the price is great.
