Dealing with Buds was great! I purchased the chrome rail gun, very good looking gun, every bit as good as it looks in the pictures. Knowing i was taking a chance, buying a cheaper gun i made the purchase expecting i would have to do a little work to it to make it a shooter. After i received the gun i knew the trigger needed some serious attention so took it to my local 1911 gunsmith. He has a performance checklist he goes through and here is some of what he found/changed on mine: Factory recoil spring was only 13lbs, Throat too deep, ejector not correctly seated or fit ended up replacing. Breach needed machining, barrel rested incorrectly. Replaced long guide with std length, replaced trigger, replaced sear spring, replaced main spring...the rest was mostly fit and finish. He wanted to lower the ejection port on the slide but because it was chromed i decided against it...figured i could live with my brass scattered. The barrel is no where near Match grade fit, nor did i expect it to be. A couple other things to be aware of: Hand grips are not interchangeable with standard mil spec so you better plan on keeping the original (yes, they are nice), The magazine they sent with the gun, FTF & FTE, you better plan on purchasing a few extra we tried to get it to fit without success and gave up, my old 1911 mags from my colt and Kimber work great without issue. Sights; front needs to be filed a bit but the right and left was good. After all is said and done i know have a great gun, smooth as silk and way less than a grand into it. I would not be afraid of this gun but know its limitations.
