I ordered a second AR-15 covert kit. For those who are wondering.. it is very simple to install. One fellow wrote that removing his front sight was a bear. Yes, depending on who originally assembled your toy. I wish they had a shorter hand guard so that I could keep the iron sights or install a modified iron site. My personal preference. Other wish is that I would have like a steel barrel nut but this does work. I did not like the fact that when disassembled the hand guard and barrel and nut flop around and it could bend or damage the gas tube. So I found out they sell a synthetic plug that will hold the barrel and nut firmly in the hand guard when in the case. Or what ever you choose to store it. This has to be done since there is nothing holding the barrel centered once it is off the upper receiver. So, when I received the second order one end of the aluminum hand guard was dented. Since I did not want to pay shipping both ways to correct it I let it go. NO.. it was nicely wrapped. It was not damaged in shipping. Simple to install unless you have a difficult time removing the front sight. But flops around in the hand guard unless you figure out a way of stabilizing it or buy the plastic end caps as I did. Happy with purchase. Recommend you also purchase that plastic plug too.
