I did a lot of homework on Uberti prior to purchasing 2 Cattleman El Patrons 45 colt - Uberti surfaced as an impeccable company - So I took the plunge - Ordered one in December, 2021 and another in January, 2022 - Got the guns - Works of absolute beauty - However, when unloading both guns with unspent ammo, I was stunned that the chambers stuck on both guns; one gun more than the other - One stuck so tight, I thought I’d have to pull out the disassembly pin - I will have to call Uberti tomorrow about this - I expect Uberti will make this right - Just so disappointed when so excited about the guns

I would buy another one its that nice. Trigger pull, finish, cyl gap, cyl inside is polished, wood grips have nice grain.

The El Patron looked great right out of the box. No imperfections. The action is smooth and tight. On the range the sights are really on target. I nailed the bullseye in one of the first 5 rounds I touched off. Trigger is set for a nice light touch (but I am no expert on this). Looking forward to when enough ammo is actually available to do some meaningful shooting.

Just picked my gun up about a week ago. After looking it over and comparing it to my Colt, I am very impressed. Very well made and looks fantastic. Action is very smooth and trigger pull is right on. Will be buying another one.

I absolutely love this firearm. I knew I wanted a Colt SAA replica, and a bit of research pointed me to the Uberti El Patron. I've put 55 rounds through it. It is accurate. I was afraid that the fixed sights would need filing or twisting, but no. Dead on. It is smooth. Hammer cocks smoothly. Cylinder rotates smoothly and locks tightly. Trigger is good, not great, but I suspect will wear in some. It is pretty. The color case hardening is very attractive and the blued barrel and cylinder also are easy on the eyes. The grips have a little texture and fit nicely in my medium sized hands. Recoil is manageable, but you definitely know that something happened at the end of your arm when you squeeze one off. It has that nice "whoa, I just unleashed a 230 grain bullet at 900 fps" sensation. It makes me smile broadly. I fretted for quite a while over barrel length and caliber, but I think the 5.5" has just the right heft and balance. 45 Colt for me was the way to go. 38/357 would have been less expensive, but that's not what John Wayne and Clint Eastwood used and I wanted to be just like them. Also, I cast my own bullets and reload, so the cost for me was just buying brass and dies.
My only small complaint is the hammer safety. When firing the revolver, one has to continue to press the trigger until the round fires, else the hammer won't properly strike the primer. I tend to press the trigger and release pressure once the sear releases. If I do that, the round won't go off. But, if I press and hold the hammer while the hammer is falling, 100% reliable. I'm going to buy an aftermarket hammer for ~$70 to fix that problem (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThkXfvsh55M), but it detracts very little from the love I have for this Uberti. I knew about the hammer before I bought the gun and would buy it again.
Finally, Bud's service is WORLD class. The FFL to whom I had the pistol shipped had actually gone out of business. I should have checked, it was completely my fault. But Melissa G. took care of the problem at no additional charge, even though I offered to pay for the extra shipping. Bud's quickly turned the shipment around once UPS had returned the gun to them and it was delivered to an in-business FFL within 3 days. I am a satisfied, loyal Bud's customer for the rest of my life.

The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is that at time of purchase, I wasn't aware that this pistol was based on the Cattleman II model. I called Uberti tech support and asked why this pistol didn't have the quarter cock position (and giving four slicks when cocked like the SAA) and was told that it was based on the Cattleman II and three clicks was correct. Other than that, the pistol is buttery smooth and shoots to point of aim. This was my sixth purchase from Bud's and of course everything was problem-free.

Beautiful handgun. I did have a problem with over-rotation of the cylinder. Every once in a while the cylinder would over-rotate and miss lock up. Requested an RA# from Uberti/Benelli. They provided me with an RA# and a prepaid shipping label. I was warned that it may be 4-5 weeks before being looked at. From the day I shipped it it was 3 weeks until I received it back. Problem appears to be fixed and I am very happy with this firearm! Customer support with Uberti/Benelli was quick to respond and took care of this problem. I have 3 Uberti revolvers and couldn't be happier with all of them. Only removed the one star for having to send it in but no big deal as the problem has been resolved. Bud's prices and service were great, as always! Thanks

I purchased a Uberti 1873 Winchester reproduction lever action rifle (24.25") in 45LC (can't say enough good things about it) and wanted a pair of reproduction Colt pistols in the same caliber for CAS if I get that far. The two El Patrons I got are just awesome. Both are incredibly beautiful weapons that shoot incredibly smooth. I have a Walther PPQ 9 MM (5"), but I shoot much more accurately with my twin El Patrons in 45LC than with the Walther! I am planning to get another pair of El Patrons in .357 magnum for my wife (she is a little intimidated with the 45LC) to go with a new Uberti 1873 Winchester chambered in .357 that I am looking at for her as well. As least that is what I tell her. I am pretty sure I will be shooting these quite a bit on her behalf.

Recently purchased this Colt SAA clone from Buds. So glad I did. I haven't handled a Smokewagon or Evil Roy version of this revolver, but the El Patron is a nicely slicked-up piece of hardware. I doubt that there is that much difference between the three models, just that you're only paying $100 for an Italian gunsmith to do the action job on an El Patron vs. $200 for an American gunsmith to do the same on a Smokewagon or Evil Roy version. I can't say enough about the positive experience of buying from Buds. The prices are unbeatable and the huge list of FFL dealers makes getting the firearm to you very painless. I just purchased another CAS firearm from Buds and expect the experience to be just as smooth and fast.
