The only 1911 that I own and what a shooter! I can shoot this gun more accurately than any of my other pistols. Is it that good or does the 1911 make me good? My son gifted me with a laser and I put it on that handy rail. Great got better.

Perfect 1911 functions well. Shoots great. Compared to my fathers colt and still great pistol for price.

I simply love it,! 100 rounds 50 good quality and 50 know to be very low quality .. On mag after the other; No FTF, No FTE , I was impressed ...I do have higher end 1911 but there was always some FTE with low and some times high end ammo, but not this one , the trigger is one of the best just out of the box...there is some small cosmetic imperfection .but nothing that can't be arrange with a blueing pen. I just changed the grippe to my test and it's really looking very nice. For the price you can't bit it .

After receiving the pistol, I was function testing it and found the slide would lock half way back and bind with a magazine installed. After inspection, I found the slide stop was not engaging the magazine follower and being pushed out instead of up. I had a slide stop left over from a project and installed it. Rechecked operation and found it to be working correctly. Other than that problem, the pistol has been very good. The slide to frame fit has slight play, but better than some other 1911 pistols I have had. The grip safety has some play, but does not affect operation. The barrel bushing has alot of play between the slide and the barrel. The trigger was over 7 lbs and had lots of creep. I stoned the sear with a true radius jig, stoned the hammer hooks to .020 and rechecked. With no other changes, the trigger pull became very crisp and came in under 6 lbs. The rest of the pistol is has very good fit and finish. I have only fired 130 rounds of winchester 230 fmj ammo, but there was no failures and good accuracy. For the price of the gun, it is excellent.
