A very slim option for a 40 S&W. It’s a great shooter but some might feel that it is a little snappy but that is to be expected with such a small firearm. The trigger is a little on the heavy side but does not bother me. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

This is my second M&P Shield. My first is in 9mm. I wanted one in 40 cal as well. This is my go to carry gun. I actually prefer this over my Glock 43. The recoil is perfectly manageable in 40 cal. I have been carrying my 9mm daily for about 3 years on a leather holster. The finish has held up extremely well. Which is important to me.
This 40 cal pistol came to me with the front sight off center causing rounds to impact far left. This is an easy fix as the sights are adjustable for windage, but disappointing none the less. S&W should have QCed that better.
