This is a great gun and a great deal.

Gun had a lot of holster wear and was very dirty. Extra back straps are missing. Took the gun to the range. It had about two ftfs in each of the first two magazines. Checked the misfired bullets and found light striker hits. Took the gun home and did a very thorough cleaning. Removed the firing pin and found a lot of crud in the firing pin bore. Cleaned it out and reassembled. Took back to the range and shot another 50 rounds. No more fans. Hood gun for the price.

Guns looks great even for a used handgun. Would recommend.

4 yrs and a few thousand rnds later this "used" gun is still kickin. I had it stippled and duracoated and have had ppl ofer me more than i have in it love this thing

This is a very nice clean gun. Shoots great. Nights sights are dull but that was expected. For this price I highly recommend.

Great weapon at a great price thanks to Buds Gun Shop once again!!! I never worry about buying used from Buds. Its always better than described condition, these looked like they were through the police academy but they were still as described. Never had a problem with malfunctions either.

I think this was an incredible deal!!! This was a police trade in so I didn't know what to expect, but when it arrived I inspected it with my FFL guy and we both agreed it was just about like a new in the box firearm....almost no sign of use or wear and tear. Really happy with it and it shoots like a champ, very reliable. Great service from Buds.

This is easily my favorite pistol. It tames the .40 S&W caliber and is a joy to shoot. This one is my home defense pistol when my shotgun is not at hand. Three magazines makes it a particularly good deal from Bud's.

This firearm definitely deserves a 5-star rating in my opinion! I absolutely love this gun! Not only is it going for a great price, but the reliability of this gun is outstanding. I have fired mine between 2500-3000 times and have never had a single hiccup. I have fired everything from personal protection rounds to re-pressed rounds to all different brands and grains of FMJ's and it all cycled smoothly. I love the night sights that it came with as well. They were in new condition just as the gun(I didn't even see slide wear on the gun!) The M&P really has surprised me with how accurate and consistent it is even at moderate distances. It takes a little bit of practice to get used to the long/heavy trigger pull, but it's like that with any firearm more or less.... I'll just put it like this: I was in an unfortunate situation where I was shot one night, and I am glad that I had this reliable firearm on my hip to protect myself and subdue the shooter once s**t hit the fan. I trust this gun with my life, and carry this gun with no second thoughts of whether it is going to perform when it needs to.

Another great police trade-in from Buds. A little bit of rust on the slide, but I was going to cerakote it anyways. Came with three mags, night sights are still usable and the grip had the medium backstrap on it. Good deal all around. Thank you.

Best bang for your buck, the pistol was in great shape. Few fading marks on the slide from holstering but nothing major.

When I picked up my smith & wesson m&p 40 it was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned. I realize that this police trade in is a used weapon but someone should've clean it before shipping. There wasn't any paperwork in the packaging including the lifetime warranty I purchased. After thoroughly cleaning the weapon and testing it at the range it worked very well.

I was pleasantly surprised that this was shipped 2nd day air just before Christmas. I received it early Christmas eve, with a box and a lock. It had some surface rust and was dirty inside but I enjoyed the experience of practicing field stripping and cleaning it prior to using it, and I'm not being sarcastic either. This is my first gun purchase ever and the first from Buds but certainly won't be the last. I am looking forward to shooting this at the range. At this point, I'm fiving it 5 stars for customer service and speed of shipping.

Great deal on these guns! I bought two - one was reasonably well used - clearly issued and broken in but certainly not beat to death. Solid gun for the money. The other one appeared to be either unissued or very seldom shot. No scratches on mags or visible wear on finish of the pistol. Terrific general duty guns at a super price!

extremely pleased with purchase of S&W M&P 40 police trade in.Cleaned up well.Mine came with all 3 back straps and functioning night sights.3 mags Firearm shows some wear but far less than expected,Functions flawlessly.I was hoping that a used gun would have a better than new trigger pull and was more than pleased in that respect. Bud's service was excellent as always.This is my third purchase thru Buds,there will be more.I received this and a colt LE 6920 in less than a week of each other both shipped in less than a week from order date. Keep in mind both purchases were completed around Christmas holiday and Black Friday sale. Could not have asked for anything more. After reading all the good reviews I decided to take the chance and see what happens with purchasing a trade in. I must have gotten the worst trade in of them all. lol, when your FFL dealer opens the case and says " Well Bub, its definitely broke in for you" , you know its well used.. This gun has been very well used to say the least. Ill never buy another police trade in.. I gave it 2 starts because, it could always be worse..

The condition was great, it looked like it was barely used. The gun groups well and the night sites still have life.
