Well, I bought this on the cheap and with some gift cards ended up with it out the door at another retailer for $80. Can't go wrong with that. I like the bolt action, I like that it is mostly wood and steel unlike so many 22's these days that are nothing but plastic. It feels like a real rifle and not a toy when you pick it up. I wanted to spend the money on an accurate 22LR gun and had my eye on the CZ's, but they are so pricy. I put a Mueller APV scope on it and a Rifle Basix trigger. So far I am not that pleased with accuracy as I can only get about 1.25" at 50Y, but it is entirely possible that I am not a good benchrest shooter and haven't had someone with some real skill try it yet. I shortened the barrel to 18" from 22" using a hack saw and crown cutter, it balances better at 18" for me. Not sure if I have a love for this rifle yet or not. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I'm not thrilled with the mechanism either as the safety only prevents the trigger from moving and does not prevent the sear from slipping or the firing pin from striking. Not sure how most 22 mechanisms are designed, but I greatly prefer well enginnered drop proof mechanisms.
