This is the most incredible rifle. Heckler & Koch have a reputation, and owning this rifle, showed me it was true. When I was sighting in my scope manually, once I had it sighted in, during that first shooting I was able to get 4 inch group at 200 yards, first time out, first time with the scope. If you can still find one - get it!

Buds was quick on the shipment. Now to the rifle. In the box was the rifle, both a 5 and 20 rnd magazine, a sling, a nifty HK tool, the manual, and the scope mount but i was surprised when the "case" it was in was a foam lined cardboard box? Anyway the rifle is a superb shooter and very accurate (no compromise right?). As i write this i have probably ran 3-500 rounds through it with ZERO hiccups. The weight of the rifle doesnt seem to be that bad at all but i did attach a bipod to it for the range so i really cant comment idk? Anyway this rifle is one of my collection and instantly became my favorite although not really sure why buds raised the price on them because i wouldnt have paid what they have them listed for now (sorry buds im sure you are just passing on an increase) . I cant think of one single con so i guess im done :)

Bought this SL8-6 from Bud's...came with a factory mag, 20rd aftermarket mag, and a low profile scope mount. ...what a fun gun to shoot. Extremely accurate with 62gr.+ ammo. I've had over 500 rounds through it without a hiccup. The other reviewer that is commenting that the rifle is heavy couldn't be farther from the truth. The rifle feels nose heavy because of the heavy-hard chrome 20" barrel, but to carry it around, it's quite light. Takes single stack mags, the H&K mags are only 10 rounds, and a but pricey...it doesn't take AR-style mags, but if you're buying H&K then you don't really care about the AR-variant stuff anyway...or you've only recently seen the light. Turns heads, people want to know what it is, and invariably how it shoots. Worth every penny.

Just picked up this rifle today from my FFL that Buds transfered the gun to. Took me a while to figure out how to release the bolt to charge the gun (the germans are smart) it's well made, no scratches on the gun, and I will take it to the range tomorrow. Pro's: Well Made, Innovative design, Comes with nice H&K Tool, Comes with Gun Sling (havent tested it yet) Cons: Heavy, No Gun Case???? Are you Kidding me!? I get it the guns on sale and being liquidated, but for $1,500 you'd think H&K would throw in a gun case. Will not take AR style Mags, Heavy modification & potential licensing needed to bring it close to the G36 Military Version.
