Like it, but I thought it was short barrel not that long.

This shotgun works great and is reasonably priced. I bought a few of these so me and my buddies can go clay shooting. Performs well for clays. Has good range. no complaints here.

Absolutely wonderful shotgun! It fits almost every mossberg 500 accessory and it shoots splendidly especially after a hundred rounds or so. It’s my new truck gun and I feel good knowing that it will always function and never let me down.

As always Buds was excellent in price and delivery speed and quality. As for the shotgun...smooth and reliable. Found an 18.5" Mossberg 500 barrel for home defense and they interchange perfectly making it great for sport as well. Light and fast action. Perfect! Highly recommend.

Legendary shotgun... it just works!!!! I really wish I could find a 18.5 inch barrel but man its nice to have a pump action weapon!!!! Its almost a must have!!!

After searching for months for this shotgun, I found it on this website. The shotgun arrived to my FFL dealer much faster than I would have expected, in its original packaging. It’s a great firearm. Light, even when fully loaded. It comes with a plug already put into the magazine tube so it’ll only hold 2+1 just an FYI. The ejector sometimes hangs but it’s probably cause it’s just not broken in yet. All in all, I highly recommend this shotgun

Awesome shotgun! I bought a more popular shotgun a few years back. Rhymes with mate heavenly express. That thing was junk. It cost $150 more (bought in a store, not from Bud's) and had extraction issues so much I did not want to shoot it and sold it. I got this shotgun a week or so ago from my FFL. I took it to the range and put about 75 rounds through it with not one problem. I was busting clays all night long, it was a great time. This is currently my favorite gun right now. If I need another shotgun a Maverick 88 will be my first consideration. If you are considering this gun yourself, buy it, you will have a great time with it at a great price.
Packaging: It comes in a generic box, the barrel and receiver are separated. You just slide the barrel in and tighten the thumbscrew. Both well packaged in a bag with VCI paper (anti-rust). It comes with a mod choke and tool. It also has your normal manual and gun lock. The gun lock is yellow with blue Mossberg writing. The barrel comes with a white bread front sight and brass rear sight. I ended up removing the brass one and replaced the white bead with a red fiber optic one.

Couldn't be happier with my first shotgun since I was a teenager. Took out and hit 15 out of 25 clays for the first time, never shot clays before. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about giving the sport a try.

These are great shooting guns this is the second one I’ve owned and I loved the performance of them. Accurate and reliable sums it up. If your looking for an affordable option this is it.

Who says you can't find a decent shotgun for under $200? This is my first shotgun and it certainly does what it supposed to do. Buds was fast and I will be buying from them again.

Nice basic shotgun, have mainly used to play around shooting skeet. No issues at all. Have ran birdshot, slugs, buckshot through it without it skipping a beat.

Shoots nice, cycles well. Came in with a nick in the barrel. Obviously it was mishandled. Not what you expect to see on a new firearm.

I returned to Buds-saw a deal on a Maverick-happened to need a pump-right price-arrived in just a few days good as usual. I will be back-Thanks Buds.

Thanks Bud's, I ordered my maverick 88 28" 12 ga Saturday morning and it got to the FFL Wednesday. I picked it up Thursday morning. Excellent service. Good guality all around. That is why I keep coming back. The action is tight and not really noisy. It makes noise when you shoot, and when you shuck in another shell. Of course it makes noise too when you miss... Finish is good and I am impressed. It fits a little long for me but that's easily remedied. I'll just stand farther back. Huntin tomorrow so I have to go get some sleep. Hopefully fried squirrel or rabbit stew tomorrow.

As all my purchases of guns from Buds have been flawless. Good gun and it and 500 barrels are interchangeable.

My first purchase with buds and it was smooth without issue the weapon is excellent got a little confused that it only held 3 round s but a quick look online i was able to fix that and fit 6. This shotgun took target load and Slugs even 3in Magnum rounds in too. I even mixed them in random order and it ran like a champ straight out of the box with no cleaning or lubrication good gun for the money very happy
