RESPONSE BY BUDS: CUSTOMER IS CORRECT IN THAT WE DO NOT TAKE PICTURES OURSELVES OF THE NEW GUNS (WE DO THE USED GUNS). ALL NEW GUN PICS ARE THOSE PROVIDED TO US BY THE MANUFACTURER. IF, UPON INSPECTION AT YOUR LOCAL DEALER, THEY GUN IS NOT WHAT YOU EXPECTED, AND/OR YOU ARE UNSATISFIED IN ANY WAY, SIMPLY DECLINE THE TRANSFER AND WE WILL TAKE THE GUN BACK AT OUR EXPENSE. NO CUSTOMER SHOULD EVER TAKE A GUN HOME WITH THEM THAT ARE NOT 100% HAPPY WITH.
Excellent shipping from Buds, gun arrived in about 3 to 4 bizz days; howerver, HUGE DISAPOINTMENT on how the good appeared vs. pictured displayed. Yes, the disclaimer that BUDs puts on about the gun in their picture may not look like the item your buying is 100% accurate, and I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER GUN sight unseen, until I know EXACTLY what I'm buying.
I fell in love with the picture of this SA 1911 A1 tactical model displaye on Bud's picture, but the gun I received was VERY DIFFERENT in asthetics, form the gun pictured.
HERE's my BEEF: As you can see the .45 1911 SArmory displayed shows that the black accents on the front and back of the slide or soild black, but in reality this guns blacks accents are not. Instead the black accents on the front and rear of the slide (the serrated lines) are like Candy Stripe Lines, as the serrated ridges go from black, SSteel, black, SSteel, Black, SSteel, etc, and the gun looks like CRAP to me vs. what I thought I was buying. I called Springfield Armory and the said the gun was never made with said sold black accent on the slide and they all come with the striping I describe (which I hate). Good news, is I have a professional dura coater in my area, who made the blac, accents on the slide of ths pistol SOLID BLACK for $40, and now I own the SA Tactical Gun I thought I was buying, and not some PIMPED OUT one with candy azz candy stipiing on the slide. Here is AN accurate reputation of what this gun will look like if you buy same.
Also, my brand new SA Tactical Model did not want to feed Federal Hollow Point Hydra SHock .45 acp ammo band new out of the box, but did perform well with the first 150 rds of hardball ammo I put in the gun and I think it just needs to be broken in.
Sorry about the long rant but dont ASSume like I did, that any one of these guns will look like the picture shown on BUDs site, and make sure you know EXACTLY what your are buying!!!!
