Buds service was flawless, shipped fast, email updates when my payments cleared & when my pistol shipped (the very next day after my final payment cleared). Now for the TRP: I did a slight experiment from what I normally do when I purchase a new pistol. Normally, I would take the gun home, field strip it, clean & lubricate the weapon to familiarize myself w/ it. Because I own a Springfield Lightweight Operator .45, I am very familiar w/ field stripping, cleaning & the safe use of it. So, w/ this TRP I went straight to the range after picking up the pistol from my FFL holder who did the transfer for me. I looked at the pistol & it had a decent coating of oil on it so I just said "what the heck, lets see how this baby shoots straight from the factory!" I had 10 Chip McCormick Power mags & 700 rounds of various .45 ammo including the ultra cheap TUL Russian ammo. This hardcore tactical tack driver did not have 1 FTF (failure to fire), FTE (failure to eject), or malfunction of any kind during a 700 round 2 hour mini torture test, where the ONLY cooling down the weapon took was the length of time it took me to load 10 8 round mags! Although the pistol was VERY dirty (mostly from the Russian cheap ammo) it was functioning just as good on the 700th round as it did on the 1st! I was already absolutely sold on Springfield 1911 .45's but now I am just tickled at the thought that this is basically a 100 year old design that John Moses Browning did right when he designed it & Springfield Armory made it 100% reliable that I trust my life with! Now I can definitely tell the difference in the TRP as compared to my Lightweight Operator, The TRP is a much tighter pistol, super tight tolerances & the trigger is MUCH more sensitive & crisp, & my TRP is much, much more accurate, 1" groups at 10 yards. The front strap checkering really makes a difference. Springfield is the ONLY 1911 pistol I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, trust your life with 1911 handgun. Can't wait until the next 1911 match at my range!
