This is an excellent pistol. The quality, fit, and finish are very good. This is probably the best 1911 without going the full custom route (Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, Nighthawk, Les Baer, etc..). The trigger is tuned very well from the factory. The trigger has a nice smooth break, and the over travel is limited perfectly from the factory. The pistol comes with Novak night sights which are sufficient for my use. The barrel, slide, and frame are numbered to coincide with their hand fitting. The finish is very resistant to wear, which is a good thing if you intend to carry this weapon. The front and back strap checkering are aggressive, and greatly enhance my grip on the pistol. I am not the best pistol shot in the world by any means, however this pistol just makes shooting easier. It’s hard to explain exactly why, but this pistol makes me better. I am sure that it is a combination of the items I mentioned above. If you want a high end 1911 that does not break the bank this is the pistol for you.
