When I compared what I got to what I paid I was more than a little impressed. Quality craftsmanship all around, MADE IN USA labeled in several areas (Made in USA good, lots of stickers on the stock not so much), standard bluing, lighter wood than shown but still alright. Considering that you are basically getting 2 shotguns for the price ($329 at the time), this is a steal.
The lube the factory used is a little sticky, which gives the initial impression that the slide is less smooth than it in fact is. Once it was cleaned and oiled it was nice and crisp. I have mine in the "cruiser" configuration, and I can definitely say the "Fun" element drastically increases in this setup. Shot an odd dozen or two test rounds, and this thing is GREAT! I used #7, #4, and #2 loads and this thing ate them up without any trouble at all. I would definitely feel comfortable relying on this for a Home Defense option.
