DON’T SHIP YOUR PURCHASE USPS!!!! This is my fourth order from Buds. All other orders were shipped UPS. This one was shipped USPS. I ordered the Taurus 24/7 in mid Oct. Buds was great, as always. They shipped the gun from their warehouse within two days. They also provided a USPS tracking number via email. Piority Mail is suppose to be a 2-3 day shipping method. On the second day USPS had delivered my weapon to Denver, CO (My home town.) I called my FLL that evening and asked if he had received it. He had not. I checked the tracking number the next day to find that USPS had shipped my gun to New Jersey!!!! Where it sat for four days before it once again was shipped back to Denver. I called Buds to let them know how crappy USPS had handeled my purchase. Buds was very apologitic and totally agreed that this was unacceptable. Derek at Buds sent two other emails over the next couple of days inquiring if the gun had arrived. He also offered to only ship my future purchases via UPS. I gladly took him up on that offer. I don’t blame Buds for the poor shipping. They did their part amazing well. But USPS will not be getting anymore of my business. After 10 days in transit the Taurus finally arrived. Due to other obligations I just got to the range today. I brought two other guns with me. A Sig 220 and a Springfield 1911. I also settled on two different brands of ammo. Wolf and Federal Match Grade .45. In the past I have had some FTF/FTE problems with the Federal Match Grade and wanted to see how the Taurus 24/7 handeled it. The Federal Match ammo is very highly rated but none of the three guns liked it. So I will not ding the Taurus for my bad ammo selection. But two other things about the Taurus did bother me. It shoots about 1 inch left of point of aim at 7 yards. At 25 yards it moves out to about 2 inches left of the aim point. At first I thought it might just be me. But after shooting the Sig and Springfield I knew it was the Taurus. But for a $350 gun I can live with that. Plus the sights are adjustable. I would have adjusted them on the spot but I forgot to take the proper tools. My second issue is something that is probably fixable to. After shooting about 250 rounds the mags began giving me trouble. It was as if the mags were gumming up. Both mag springs were not pushing the next round to the top of the mag well. This caused FTF problems. I had to actually shake the mag to make the spring pop the next round to the top of the mag. I'm assuming that with a good cleaning and a little lub inside the mag that the spring issue will be solved. I hope so anyway. I'm going to give her a good cleaning and lubing and take her back to the range for a second go. BTW the Sig and Springfield ran the Wolf without a hiccup. But they are like Mikey. They'll eat anything. :) I give Buds 5 stars for service. The Taurus 24/7 gets 4 stars. And USPS gets ZERO stars. Johnny T.
