Got the gun in today. First overall impression is that it's a pretty big gun. I love the way it feels and seems very balanced. I owned several taurus pistols and this is probably going to be my new favorite over my 92af. I can't wait to get out to the range and put some lead down range. Biggest con is the fact that there are no holsters that are made specifically for this model. I did have a millienium fubus holster that worked for it. It has a tension screw on the holster and if adjusted just right it is as if it was made for the 809. Snaps in just perfectly the slide out is a bit tight but almost no different from how my 24/7 slides out from it's fubus holster. another thing is the mag release. It is sticky as heck. It came with two mags and one does not work very well at all when the mag release is pressed. You almost need to use both thumbs to press it hard enough to release. Tried lubing it to see if it would help but maybe just needs to break in the spring with a few hundred presses. From a scale of 1-10, I give it a 8.5. Reccomend to buy ? yes . Will post another review after a range session.
