I have a fairly decent pistol collection that includes a Sig, Ruger, Bersa, S&W, and Taurus; but my new Hi Point is now my favorite gun. I put 100 rounds through it yesterday at the range, and it performed great. No jams, and my accuracy was fair. It was hitting a little low, but I adjusted the sights than had a 2" grouping at 15'. Others complain about the weight & grips, but I find it rather comfortable to hold, plus the weight helps with the recoil. Of course, the quality is not the same as my Sig, but you can't compare a $700 pistol w/ a $145 one. Again, I really like this gun, and may buy one more just because they are so affordable. It really is an outstanding gun for the price. Highly recommend.
