If you are a nose high in the air gun owner, do not buy this gun. For everyone else, dollar for dollar, there is nothing better...period. Putting the price tag aside, her's the pros and cons of this pistol from my experience. It is reasonably, even surprisingly, accurate. You will not win a shooting competition with it... there are more accurate pistols on the market. Recoil is is almost a non issue. The somewhat bulky size and weight of it cause the low recoil. It goes bang when I pull the trigger... and there is no con to that pont. It is made in the US and carries a lifetime warranty... again, no con to those points.
Look, there are far superior guns to this one... Springfield XD and Glock, to name a couple, but when you factor in price, it's the Hi-Point hands down. This was my first Hi-Point.I know own it and the .45 and 9mm Carbine. If money were no object, this gun is less than ideal, but for those of us in real life, it is an excelent alternative to being unarmed!
