Hi-Point 916 C-9 8+1 9mm +P 3.5"
by Michael B Date Added: Sunday 15 July, 2012
After working on these Hi-Points and hearing people bash the brand, I decided to try one of my own. I do gun smithing and have fixed a lot of these. Hi-Point doesn't make bad guns they make bad mags. The ears usually need bent out a lil bit to keep the round from "nose diving" which will cause a feed failure. Mine runs flawlessly. After polishing the feed ramp it's super smooth. Compare apples to apples... What else is better in the $200 and less price range? I love the feel of this gun. It goes bang evey time I pull the trigger. What else you ya need? I was born and raised in Ohio so I'm glad I gave these guys a shot. I liked it so much I also bought the JHP 45. It's flawless as well. Best value out there! FYI, the 10 round mag makes the C9 look like a cordless drill but it does balance the weight of the gun pretty well. Bud's was quick and easy as always. Be safe folks.
