SO i decided to buy the hi point c9 a few months back from buds. first gun i've bought from them. shipping was quick and on time. but when i got the gun i noticed it had horrible flashing on the plastic. like there were chunks of plastic hanging off of it. so i had to take a razor blade and shave it off like the people running the machines should in the first place. and IF they slowed their molds down by just a few seconds this gun wouldnt have waves and dips in the plastic. no big tho for me. my only real complaint is that it has sharp edges on the rear of the slide and if your not careful it will cut you. . or you can just round off those edges a bit . be sure to sand the feed ramp . i did from 800 to 1500 grit sand paper then used steel wool to polish it back up. cleaned up the edges of the mag so it stoped chewing up the brass . and now it works just fine. round come out of it fairly well. has some kinks i still need to work out. but the most i usually have to do is smack the back of the gun a little and itll feed the round. but its rare so. all n all good first gun or project or something to abuse. i only use this for back up in my car. just in case my main carry fails for some reason.
