I have had mine 5 months now and I still marvel at how such a fine gun can be had for comparatively little money. It is frighteningly accurate, grouping at 1-1/2" to 2" at 7 to 10 yards, the only distance I am concerned with as this is my carry piece. I did not buy this gun to shoot at 25 yard targets...I have many other pistols and rifles for those purposes. And I shoot competitively twice a month in SASS competition, so competing with this or my JCP 40 S&W is not part of my routine.
However, the gun is extremely well made (I do some amateur gunsmithing on my others), accurate and reliable. Not one misfire or jam with a variety of ammo, both good and blazer. I have put liquid spray rubber on the grips to enhance my hold and and two strips of skid rubber on the slide to aid in cocking. Other than buying a 10 round mag, I have had to do nothing.
The HP lifetime warranty cannot be exceeded or even matched by any other manufacturer I can find, so no worries for my lifetime at least. With what I saved over the price of one big name hand gun, I was able to buy a JCP 40 and a 995 carbine.
