I bought a 40 cal, used, at a gun show in November initially because of price ($150) , lifetime no-questions-asked-regardless-of-the-number-of-owners Warranty and the comfort fit in my large hand. Great balance and wonderful acquisition of the sight picture also helped my decision to buy.
I shot one-hand, off-hand, 5 rounds of FMJ and 5 rounds of JHP on my range and at the self-defense distance of 7 yards, & put 10 rounds in a 2-1/4" group. None of my other high-priced guns can match this accuracy. Not too bad for a 73 year-old with mediocre eyesight and a shaky arm.. I do a lot of match shooting with Rugers, Taurus', Uberti's, Pietta's and Rossi's and this gun is equal in quality, simplicity and comfort to any of them & a better guarantee.
So, just because they are inexpensive (not cheap) do hesitate to buy one. A lot of gun buyers go by price, the more expensive has to be better. Well, think about it...no Cadillac can equal a Toyota so that cost logic is not a valid one. Buy for "bang for the buck" and you will include HiPoint in your final selection group. Go to your gun shop and handle one....if you can find them as they are selling like hotcakes.
